Thanks to the magic of Pinterest and my preparation for Baby O, I've stumbled across some awesome resources for parents, and especially for new or young moms. I love browsing blogs and reading articles when I have the chance, and these have become some of my new favorites to check.

They might be worth putting on your rotation/newsfeed/flipboard/bookmarks/however you interact with contact these days as well to provide some new insight from real people navigating the same season of life.

5 Fun Blogs for New Moms

Scissortail SILK by Becky Thompson - blogger and stay at home mom of 3 in Oklahoma

This blog is full of inspiring, beautifully written, short anecdotes and letters about life, love , and family from a Christian perspective. Her posts are purposeful, relatable, and pleasant, often connecting everyday tasks and thoughts to the bigger picture and striking an emotional chord.

Gimme Some Oven - by blogger Ali based in Kansas City

This one is mostly packed with amazing recipes complemented by eye-catching, mouth-watering images. The author also writes on cute DIY projects and basic tips for business and blogging. I stumbled across it via Pinterest with this recipe for Slow Cooker Turkey Taco Chili and made a few small adjustments but it's become one of my staples, especially in the fall! YUM.

The Glitter Guide - topics: fashion, beauty, lifestyle, shopping, trends

Being a young mom isn't all about just being "mom-" I think it's important to nurture your own interests as well, ya know, the ones you developed before baby. This blog is so pretty and fresh, plus it's packed with fun goodies like book lists, decorating tips, recipes, inspiration, and more - great for working moms, fashionistas, and creative entrepreneurs.

Babble -

Many of you may have stumbled across an article from time to time published on this blog. It's run by Disney via a collection of contributors and covers topics under the umbrella of parenting, pregnancy, entertainment, and lifestyle. It's basically a treasure trove of opinion pieces, usually with a healthy dose of sarcasm, and featuring everything from how two make a cake in a mug to dealing with scary news about your baby's development during pregnancy. From humor to advice to diy to deep topics, it's got a little bit of everything. Warning: You could get lost for hours here.

Mint Arrow - by blogger Corrine based in Southern Ca

This blogger serves up great advice and tips on baby buys including gear and style for the little one and for mom. She writes with an honest sarcasm and friendly tone that makes you feel like your friend just told you about a sale at the mall while your were standing in line at the grocery store. I found her site through Pinterest via this post on building a baby registry with legit essentials and tested finds. Plus she loves Mint sooooo we have that in common :-)
