Lisa and Tim have only been married for a year, but have known each other for almost 10 and they are probably two of the most laid back people I've ever worked with. Their easy-going nature, mixed with a gorgeous summer evening and the breeze through an open field made for maternity session magic.
As I got to know them over the course of their shoot, I fell in love with watching how they just played off each other. She, quiet and reserved with a touch of sass - he, more outgoing with a touch of wit; it was so evident how great they are together. In a session that was purely simple, rustic, and sweet, we aimed to capture their relationship as a couple in a way that was true to their personalities. They live in a log cabin tucked away in wooded acreage away from town and they celebrated their first anniversary a few months ago with a beach camping getaway... I mean, if anyone knows the beauty in rustic simplicity, I think it's them.
They chose to display their favorites from the session in a tabletop proof box - understated, lovely, and timeless. One day, their little Rose with thumb through those images and see her parents, young and in love, anxiously awaiting her arrival and know she was loved before she even entered the world. I'd say that's a pretty cool gift to give any daughter.
