From Ginny's gorgeous doe-eyes, to her parents' easy-going demeanor on session day, to their excitement for displaying their favorites in their home, working with this family was such a dream. In our planning, I learned their style was very classic and clean, that they loved bright colors, and were looking for photos that were vibrant and fun. Even though the sun didn't want to play along, we found a gorgeous nook on the side of a golf course in their neighborhood to stage their session and compliment their style perfectly. We were literally steps from a clubhouse and about a one minute drive from their house, yet in viewing these images, you'd think we were in the middle of a magical forest!
Ginny was 7 months at the time of the shoot, about 1 month ahead of Kira, and the two got along great at our coffee meeting (though they both really just wanted to chew on each others' toys). Seeing Ginny just that one step ahead of Kira's milestones just made my heart melt even more as I photographed her sitting up on her own, clapping at her favorite pictures in books, and cuddling up against mom and dad. Though she was a little timid at first for the shoot, nothing made her happier than playtime with her parents and we were able to capture some truly authentic moments of joy between this growing family.
The Marquardts chose a classic trio of float wraps to display in their dining room and several prints to frame and share with family. Enjoy some of our favorites from the shoot below!
