I've been photographing so many little girls lately that meeting up with this family and their adorable son Harrison was a pleasant treat! At our coffee consultation to plan his one-year shoot, I learned that they were an active, outdoorsy family and wanted to keep the session in line with that rustic style. We decided to incorporate an adorable newsboy outfit and complete the vintage look with a location featuring tall grasses, neutral colors, and a few simple props like my vintage apple crate and dad's mandolin!

During our shoot, Harrison was timid at first but it was so fun to watch his personality emerge over our time together. He was so interested in the instrument, which was sort-of the catalyst for him opening up and getting more comfortable with his surroundings. I loved making this little guy giggle and could have photographed him all day long!
