Since the initial post announcing my leap into the home office/studio meeting space re-vamp, I've made a few exciting purchases and wanted to post an update on the progress!

My main goals with this space are essentially to:

  1. Meet with clients to plan and reveal their sessions
  2. Showcase my work and products
  3. Reflect the branding and message of Firefly
  4. Work efficiently and stay organized

It is also important for me to create a homey environment-- for my clients to feel welcome and comfortable, but also because, well, it's my home! In order to stay on a conservative budget, and because I secretly kind of love searching for the perfect unique pieces at a bargain, I've been scouring everywhere from TJ Maxx to thrift shops to my local boutiques for the perfect items to compliment and utilize in the studio. My mother can attest to the fact that while stubborn and annoying at times, I rarely purchase anything unless it screams to me and radiates beams of light in my direction. So needless to say, I'm already obsessed with how this space is shaping up because I LOVE every single thing in it.

I first found this refurbished pallet coffee table on Craigslist for $50 and was sold immediately. I coat of whitewashed paint on the surface and spraypainted gold legs, and this table pretty much has Firefly written all over it.

Thanks to the encouraging shopping skills of my biggest fan, mother dearest, I was able to pick out 2 gorgeous sea-glass lamps with white linen shades, two mint coffee mugs, a candle in the perfect shade from HomeGoods. I also scooped up a cream cart side table for $30, a gorgeous gold tray for $15 and some cute shelf decor at Hobby Lobby #forthewin.

The best part is my new sample products which I've started finalizing to display in the studio. I am SO STOKED about offering this gorgeous layflat album with a ton of cover options from colorful linens to buttery antique leathers, complete with custom designed spreads and archival printing. It's a serious gem and I can't wait for my clients to touch and feel it in person to consider for displaying all their precious moments at their fingertips.

We have just a few major pieces left in the puzzle to complete the setting and open for business. Be on the lookout for more updates as we bring it all together!
