Charlottesville is home to one of the most beautiful campus's in the country - the University of Virginia. You don't have to be alum to boast it's charm - it's undeniable. The stunning white columns, the original brickwork, the quaint walled gardens, the stunning antique doors and archways... it's truly timeless.

I've been wanting to shoot there since we moved and when the Haley's described their desire to capture the essence of Charlottesville in their 5 year anniversary shoot, I knew this was the perfect opportunity to take on the UVA "Grounds."

Working just before sunset on a chilly but forgiving December day, the Haley's and I roamed campus for some gorgeous nooks and crannies and ended up with some stunning shots. Capturing and celebrating their love in this season of life was an honor for me and as a bonus, I got to grow a friendship with one more wonderful couple in our community.

Enjoy these highlights from their winter UVA/downtown Charlottesville anniversary session!

I meeeean... those eyes

I meeeean... that beard!!

These little nooks are nestled around random buildings and hidden all over grounds. It's too perfect.

The Lawn is so Charlottesville.

Cheers to Julianne and Andrew on 5 years of marriage and a lifetime of beautiful memories to come, wherever the road may lead you! :-)
