Beautiful pastels, blooming buds, hunting easter eggs in a field, swinging baskets and eating chocolates and picking berries and giggling together among tall grasses and big shady trees... these are the memories of spring we idealize, the sentiments we cherish, the way we want to remember our kids and their childish ways.

I want to capture your daughter spinning in the sun with that twirly new dress, not standing against the side of the house for a forced shot that shows all her teeth and no personality, or worse, beside a fake picket fence with a creepy adult bunny peering from behind.

If you've been wanting to work with me but aren't ready to commit to a full session, this is your chance to get a taste of what it's like and update your cheesy Easter snapshots with treasures. On April 22nd, I will be holding a limited number of spring mini sessions that are to all immediate family -- so that means your whole crew, or any variable breakdown like siblings, couples, mommy and me, daddy/daughter, whatever your heart desires. And just because your kids are older than 5 doesn't mean they should stop being photographed or that you shouldn't still playfully capture these beautiful moments as a family.

Let's have some fun!

OK, in all fairness, I will have several quilts on hand, courtesy of  Julie G. Benson, however if there are any particular items you wish to include, please bring them along! My style is very light on props, focussing rather on nature, play, and connection. That said, props with meaning are always welcome! A child's favorite stuffed animal or blankie, their personal Easter baskets for egg hunting, or family/household heirlooms are story-telling items that make good additions while keeping it simple and classic.

April 22nd

rain date: April 29th

Sessions are non-refundable. In case of rain, I will be in touch about rescheduling for our rain date. If you are unable to make your session or the alternate date and time, you may choose to sell your session to someone else or apply your session fee as credit to a future full length session with Firefly Photography.

1780 Earlysville Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22903

Please make sure to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early in order for me to stay on time. If you are late it will cut into your 20 minute session. I will likely be out shooting when you arrive, but look for the car with the yellow balloons and I will meet you there before our time begins. Each session will utilize different areas of the property depending on light and in order to create a unique session for everyone. All our locations in this area are within short walking distance from the parking lot. Please also note that unfortunately, there are no pets aloud in this location. Sad face.
