Featuring: The Landi's Pregnancy Reveal

When Danielle and Dan contacted me about doing a shoot to announce their long-awaited pregnancy to family and friends, I immediately became giddy. I swear, right there in my seat as I read her email. I was super excited to work with them for this joy filled occasion.

In our pre-planning phone call, she told me a little more about their story and how she and her husband, Dan, had been trying for 2 years to have a child. Over the holidays, they discovered the wonderful news that they were expecting! After so much anticipation, they knew family and friends would be thrilled and they wanted to announce it to them in a really fun way.

I also learned that the couple was married at a barn and love rustic settings, visiting wineries, and being outdoors. Danielle also wanted to include big, gold balloons spelling BABY, as a means to reveal the actual news. It just keeps getting better!

We met at Blenheim Vineyards on a beautiful, seasonably warm afternoon in January and it was the perfect spot for them. Even though Danielle has been extremely sick, she was glowing and her excitement just radiated positive energy. She and Dan never had engagement photos taken so outside of the balloon part, it was also special to just capture them just being a couple and celebrating their love before 2 become 3!

Side note:

Please do not be fooled by these seemingly still balloon shots. There was wind. And wind blows large balloons allllll over the place. Thankfully, (for our shoot and for the parenthood part to come) these two were patient and in easy spirits despite our tangly antics. I was even more thankful that we had somewhat planned ahead for this and asked one of Danielle's friends to come along as our balloon wrangler in between shots!

For now, enjoy this sweet couple and join me in celebrating their amazing miracle on the way! Then, be sure to check back on the blog later this week for Part 2: the balloon blooper reel.

Congratulations Dan and Danielle! Can't wait to meet your little miracle! :-)
